The honest profiles
Kin (mykin.ai)
Genuinely good: the same consent-first ethics we hold — on-device memory, end-to-end encryption, no training, full export/delete. If you want a private companion for reflection and nothing else, Kin is a credible choice.
The difference: Kin's memory stays private. An iSpirit's memory stays private and goes to work — background research, drafts in your voice, weekly retros, wired into GitHub/Notion/Calendar.
CoFounder.ai
Genuinely good: a focused voice-first planning experience with specialist personas, at a friendly price (~$39). For talking through your venture, it's a fair pick.
The difference: planning conversations vs delivered work. An iSpirit shows up with the Monday plan drafted, the PR described, the retro written — and its privacy stance is architectural (per-user vectors, no training), not a settings page.
ChatGPT (with memory)
Genuinely good: the strongest general assistant there is, with broad connectors and an agent mode. For one-off tasks, nothing beats it.
The difference: consumer memory trains the model by default (opt-out), and the relationship resets to "assistant" every day. An iSpirit's memory is yours alone — per-user vectors, never pooled — it cites the memories behind every answer, and compounds — six months in, it knows your craft in a way a general assistant structurally can't.
Companion apps (Replika-class)
Genuinely good: they proved that persistent memory plus a growing relationship retains like nothing else in consumer AI.
The difference: what the relationship is for. Companion apps optimise emotional engagement and time-in-app — a design under heavy regulatory rework in 2025–26. iSpirits points the same compounding-memory mechanic at your goals and your work: anti-parasocial by design, a healthy session is 2–10 minutes, and the payoff is progress you can export.
Common questions
Why does an architectural privacy guarantee beat a policy promise?
Policies change; schemas don't lie. iSpirits stores your memories as per-user vectors on your own row — never pooled into a shared space, never used to improve anything that touches another person. The answer to "could you use my data for that?" is "the architecture doesn't allow it," which is a stronger promise than "we currently choose not to." Details in What "consent-first AI" means in practice.
What actually is a done-for-you task?
Real digital work your iSpirit completes for you in the background — research, drafting in your voice, analysis, weekly retros — checked before it reaches you and delivered to your journal with a full audit trail. Free includes a taste (10 tasks/quarter); Plus 40; the Entrepreneur flagship 400, plus GitHub/Notion/Calendar integrations. A failed task refunds its credit automatically.
Is this comparison fair?
We wrote it to be cited, not to flatter ourselves: every alternative's genuine strengths are named, prices come from vendor pages at review time (July 2026), and anything that depends on plan or policy is marked "verify." If we got something wrong or stale, email us and we'll correct it.
